"In earlier version of Windows including WinXP and Vista, calc provides only Standard and Scientific modes, you may not have to find out there is a Scientific mode in Calc, it’s used mostly by people like programmers who need something like HEX–>BIN conversion (don’t know what it is? forget it). Now in Win7, there are 4: Standard, Scientific, Programmer and Statistics. Other new features are History and Unit Conversion."
